Last weeks Tsunami Benefit out at Pala Raceway went great! Huge thanks to Pamela and Camille with Sullen Angels for putting on this awesome event and another thank you to all of the fans and athletes that made it out to the track in the blistering heat. The day started out rather calm so SRH BMX Pro Dustin McCarty started hitting the ramps early, busting big tricks, shortly followed by SRH BMX Pro Thomas Hancock getting an early workout in trying to show up teammate McCarty.
The SRH FMX team put on a great show as well, both Greg Schaaf and Jason Springfield are recovering from injuries and weren’t jumping the ramps, but were out in great spirits keeping the fans stocked on autographs and spaded stickers with their bikes on display. Schaaf even brought out his track back to get some laps in to warm up from a recent broken collarbone. Huge props to James Carter and Bryce Hudson who put on a great show alongside Cal Vallone, Gabriel Villegas and many more.
Professional athletes Taka Hagashino, Mike Metzger, Scummy, Rick Thorne, and more, were all out to show their support for Japan keeping the crowd moving and ready for more!
Another huge thank you to photographer Sergio Guiducci for getting us some awesome shots of the days festivities.
