Nug of the Week: OG KUSH
Longtime SRH supporters know we've been major supporters of the cannabis community for decades. So, with our new website, we're going to highlight a new or classic strain of marijuana each week. This week, we're taking it back to the original: the OG Kush.
There's hundreds of strains out there, but a strain like OG Kush is the preference of even OG smokers.
The famed strain became the backbone of West Coast strains to follow, but its genetic origins remain a mystery to this day. Some weed historians say OG Kush arrived in Los Angeles in 1995 after being transplanted from Florida, others say Lake Tahoe, and many say it came from the California coast. The origin is less important that the potency of OG Kush, which is not really up for debate. The THC composition of OG Kush has been consistently measured at between 20% and 25%.
